Nyandarua National Polytechnic has entered into a collaboration agreement with Laikipia University. Nyandarua National Polytechnic Chief Principal Mr. Felix Mung’atu and Laikipia University Vice Chancellor Prof. Kibett Rotich spearheaded the signing the collaboration between the two institutions.
The areas of collaboration will focus on research, innovation and technology, capacity building, industrial attachment, dual training, and technical support. This partnership will emphasize a TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) approach to equip students from both institutions with practical, hands-on skills aligned with industry needs.
By integrating industrial collaboration, the institutions aim to bridge the skills gap, enhance competency-based training, and promote innovations relevant to the evolving job market, ultimately fostering greater employability and industry-ready graduates. Both institutions will benefit from staff training, resource sharing, and development programs designed to enhance the skills and expertise of trainers, improving academic offerings and enriching the learning experience for all students.
