Nyandarua National Polytechnic hosted a week-long cultural celebration that brought together trainees, staff, and esteemed guests in a lively showcase of diversity and talent. The Cultural Week, an annual event, highlighted the rich cultural heritage and unity within the polytechnic community, fostering a sense of pride and inclusivity.

The Nyandarua National Polytechnic is an accredited public TVET institution established in 2006 as an institute of Science and Technology. It was elevated to National Polytechnic status in 2020. 

The first cohort of students was admitted in 2006. Nyandarua National Polytechnic has grown remarkably, and as of September 2024, it proudly serves a diverse community of over 10,000 students across various programs……

Our peer counselling trainees had an insightful interaction session during a discussion with Hon. John Mututho, Director at JOMEC organization. Led by Madam Purity Mberia, Coordinator of Counselling at Nyandarua National Polytechnic, the trainees engaged in a meaningful conversation on mental health, drug and substance abuse, and community support.Throughout the session, they were encouraged to be ambassadors in creating awareness about mental health, break the stigma surrounding mental health issues, and conduct sensitization programs for their peers within the institution. Exquisite cake baked and decorated by our trainees in Hospitality & Tourism Department to Congratulate the Drama Team on their exemplary performance at the Kenya National Drama and Film Festival 2025, which was held at Murang’a TTC.The cake was part of the celebration as the Drama Team proudly presented their trophies to the Polytechnic, marking a moment of joy and achievement.Our Chief Principal, Mr. Felix Mung'atu encouraged them to continue being zealous and strive for even greater success as they head to the Nationals.🏅 Ann Wanjohi received the Adjudicator’s Award for Best Original Female Actor in the Play Category.🏆 Violet Wachira won the Best Spoken Word of the Year Award for the Mt.
