Our Polytechnic, in collaboration with Egerton University under the Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev) 2.0 program, successfully facilitated a Job Readiness Training session for our final year trainees.
The session was designed to equip trainees with critical skills in employability, entrepreneurship, personal branding, communication, digital literacy, and workplace ethics, ensuring they are well-prepared to transition smoothly into the workforce or start their own ventures.
The overall goal of the TAGDev 2.0 program is to create sustainable job opportunities for young women and men, while also strengthening the capacity of smallholder farmers to achieve food and nutritional security across Kenya. By bridging the gap between training institutions and the job market, the program supports the national agenda on youth empowerment and agricultural transformation.
