Sensitization on Modularized Curriculum by TVET CDACC

We were privileged to host a delegation from the TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC), led by director Hellen Muriithi, for a sensitization session on modularized curriculum.

The event brought together representatives from various TVET institutions and focused on deepening understanding of modularized curriculum approach.

Key aims of the modularized curriculum highlighted during the session included:

* Dividing broad curricula into smaller, self-contained modules
*Targeting specific skills and competencies in each module, assessed independently
*Enhancing flexibility and supporting personalized learning to meet diverse trainee needs
*Aligning training with industry standards to deliver targeted, skill-oriented programs
*Enabling comprehensive and progressive skilling of trainees
*Streamlining reskilling, upskilling, and career progression
*Starting trainees at the lowest module (e.g., Module 1 or Level 3), with progression only after meeting industry requirements of the preceding module
This sensitization strengthened our institution’s resolve to deliver relevant, flexible, and industry-driven training that equips learners with practical and market-ready competencies.
